  • Jeff Stuart, CEA, RHU, EPC, RIS

    President
    Insurance Advisor & Investment Representative

    Jeff began his advisory career in 1988 and created We Listen - Financial Planning Solutions in 2007. His focus in the practice is on the development of financial plans for clients.

    Jeff is a graduate of the Financial Planning program at Seneca College and also holds the Elder Planning Counselor (EPC) designation – focusing on working with seniors. He is also a Registered Health Underwriter (RHU) which focuses on the living benefits aspect of insurance. He holds the RIS designation which earns him the title of being a Responsible Investment Specialist. Finally, Jeff holds the prestigious Certified Executor Advisor (CEA) designation. With this designation, Jeff has the practical knowledge to be able to advise those who are acting as executor / executrix.

    Jeff has five loves in his life – his family, his practice, travelling, basketball and Formula 1 racing.

  • Mackenzie Stuart, CFP®

    Managing Director
    Financial Planner
    Insurance Advisor & Investment Representative

    Mackenzie has worked with We Listen Financial since 2010, primarily in an administrative and compliance role. In 2019, she started her career as a financial advisor with Freedom 55 Financial and officially joined We Listen Financial as Managing Director in 2021.

    Mackenzie has a Business Administration - Financial Planning advanced diploma from Seneca College and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Laurentian University. Mackenzie passed the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® exam in 2024 with one of the highest scores on the February exam, earning her the prestigious CFP® designation and a spot on FP Canada’s President’s List. She is currently working towards the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation.

    Mackenzie loves cats & dogs, reading, travelling, and has a passion for lifelong learning.

  • Joanne Stuart

    Operations Manager

    Joanne began working with Jeff in 1998 (long before he incorporated). Her original roles were helping out with small projects and doing some filing. Over the years this role has expanded dramatically to include managing all technology issues for the firm, as well as creating and maintaining all “social” contact programs.

    Her role continues to expand including systems management, placing trades, and administrative work.

    Joanne loves travelling, reading, and coming up with interesting craft ideas. She plans on wintering in a “warmer climate”.

  • Gizmo

    Chief Comfort Officer

    Gizmo has been a part of the family since 2009. He spends most of his day curled up on an office chair and makes the occasional appearance in meetings.

    Gizmo's hobbies include long walks in the park, chasing squirrels, and barking at passersby.
